Welcome to the Highly Strung website

Highly Strung was set up to to bring together enthusiastic and talented musicians who want the opportunity to explore the rich and extensive string music repertoire. We started out having twice monthly rehearsals and we put on series of very successful concerts. However, we now concentrate on one-day string string workshops so as players can get together for a day of intensive and rewarding playing without having to commit to regular rehearsals. This also means that we often get players from a wider geographical area. We usually conclude our workshops with a play through for family and friends.
